PCOS Help

Whether it be PCOS hair issues, PCOS fertility issues, acne, or one of the many other symptoms of PCOS, they are all symptoms which cause suffering to millions of women worldwide.  But although there is no known cure for PCOS, the symptoms can be beaten!

What is PCOS?

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a disorder arising from a hormonal imbalance and may inflict about 5 to 10 percent of women regardless of race and nationality. A good awareness of the symptoms of PCOS as well as the proper diagnosis and timely treatment may save a woman’s reproductive health and childbearing capability from dire consequences.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) has various symptoms which differ from person to person. The symptoms start gradually, often times, most noticeable after a weight gain. The hormonal changes leading to PCOS usually starts after the first menstrual period.

The earliest signs of a PCOS include irregular or absent menstrual periods and irregular and heavy vaginal bleeding. Hair loss and hair growth, as well as development of other secondary sex characteristics such as deepening of the voice, acne that progressively gets worse, and depression are also among in the early symptoms of PCOS.

The late symptoms include obesity or weight gain, high blood pressure, male pattern baldness, repeated miscarriages, infertility/fertility issues, skin patches, breathing problems when sleeping and pain in the pelvis and lower abdomen.
